Rocky Mountain AI
Community Code of Conduct

Effective August 27, 2025

Introduction

Our organization and all its subgroups welcome participation from individuals of varied and diverse backgrounds. We are committed to maintaining a safe, supportive, and inclusive community for everyone, regardless of experience, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, disability, appearance, body size, race, ethnicity, age, religion, nationality, or any other defining characteristic. These policies are intended to help uphold that commitment.

Applicability

These policies apply to all interactions within our community, whether within the non-profit, RMAIIG, or any subgroup, and whether in person or virtual, at our events and outside of them. They are not intended to silence anyone; we respect and value freedom of speech. However, no one may use their association with our organization to undermine our commitment to a safe, supportive, and inclusive community.

Expectations

We expect all members of our community to be welcoming, kind, and supportive of one another. To protect that environment, we will take appropriate action in response to any behavior that undermines it, including:

  • Violence or threats of violence, whether physical or verbal.

  • Bullying or harassing communication (for example, single or repeated hostile or disparaging communications, insults, name-calling, sustained questioning in bad faith, and inappropriate demands, whether in person or virtually, that targets individuals or groups of individuals or undermines the community environment).

  • Failure to distinguish between constructive feedback and personal attacks.

  • Conduct or speech that is sexist, racist, homophobic, transphobic, ableist, or otherwise discriminatory or offensive.

  • Disrespect toward others.

  • Intimidation or harassment.

  • Inappropriate attention or physical contact.

  • Disruption of events, meetings, or discussions.

  • Doxxing or sharing others’ personal information without consent.

  • Any other behavior deemed inappropriate by the organization’s Board of Advisors.

Reporting Violations

If you believe a member of our community has violated this policy, please email hello@rockymountainai.org. Reports made in good faith and with honest intent will not result in retaliation.

Enforcement

As stated above, our goal is not to silence anyone. However, if a member violates this policy, we will take appropriate action to protect our community. Such action will be at the discretion of our Advisory Board, in consultation with our Board of Directors, and may include temporary or permanent bans from participating in our organization or engaging with its members, whether in person or virtually.
